We are thrilled to announce that Thrive CEO Brendan Singhdeo and his family are moving to Madagascar from the end of March 2018. They plan to spend 2-3 years consolidating and expanding Thrive’s existing programs, as well as starting new projects.
In addition to our dedicated Malagasy staff team on the ground in Antananarivo (Tana) and Ambohidanerana (Soav), we have a team of willing and expert volunteers here in Australia that reviews our organizational plans, checks progress, and sets new goals. Mission statement
THRIVE MADAGASCAR is a Christian organisation based on core values of love and service. We create sustainable models and programs that provide education, opportunity and improved health to those most in need.
Current operations
- Paying school tuition for over 120 children from the slums of Tana and Soav
- Operating The Living Centre in Tana where we provide breakfast for children, community support, primary health programs and vocational training
- Constructing and then operating Thrive Community Centre in Soav – a central hub for education, health and business
- Running community health, education and business programs in Tana and Soav
- Running Children of the Light – a children’s home in Soav, and a breakfast program for over 30 children.
New projects for 2018
- Implementation of community leadership programs in Tana and Soav
- Disability support program established in Tana and Soav
- Youth support program established in Tana and Soav
